Assignment 2A: Bug List

Everyday Bugs:

1. The check-out line at any Publix can be very long with 8 others not even open!
Publix sometimes can misjudge the busy times at the store especially in a college town.

2. The taste of coffee.
Believe it or not, coffee taste terrible to some people even though they still need the caffeine.

3. Trash bags ripping when I put it in the can.
Some trash bags are too tight to go around the rim on the top.

4. Being freezing on the scooter in the mornings.
I hate being cold, but I always am scooting to class in the morning due to the lack of clothes because I do not want to burn alive in class either.

5. Long lines at the bars in Gainesville
There are a ton of people trying to go out to relax from the rigorous work load.

6. Cups that sweat all over the table.
The water in the cup is colder than the outside air.

7. I love dogs but hate the hair they shed.
Some dogs just shed their coat and the hair gets everywhere.

8. People turning left in the left lane on any busy street.
There are not enough traffic lights in some places and it actually causes more traffic and accidents.

9. Not finding parking for scooter or car on campus.
There are more students at UF than there are parking spots.

10. Snoozing my alarm in the mornings and it not turning back on.
This happens due to a malfunction on the phone or alarm.

11. When drive through places make you pull up to wait on your food order.
The restaurant clearly does not have the “fast” food that it promises and probably have to cook it up.

12. WiFi at my house crashing.
All technology fails at some point and always seems to happen here.

13. Soda bottles that require a bottle opener rather than a twist off.
Some soda companies are just not keeping up with simplicity and convenience

14. All chewing gum upsets my stomach.
Gum is great for when someone is out, but being so minty, gum hurts my stomach.

15. When cleaning maids move things at your house.
They are used to things being places at their houses and don’t consider yours as different.

16. Waiters or waitress’ taking so long to fill water.
Usually this employee is a beginner, or the restaurant is filled.

17. When people put shoes right next to a shoe basket but not in it.
This can exist because people do not think about it or don’t want to search for theirs shoes when they leave.

18. Cheap batteries that die almost instantly.
The cheaper option for batteries always leaves me unsatisfied, probably because they are cheaply made, but I keep going back because of the drastic price difference.

19. Slow computers.
My family computer at home is as old as a dinosaur and just load Google expect a 30-minute wait.

20. People having their own conversation in group chats!
People already in a group chat tend to just talk in that rather than making a separate message.



Reflection:

This list was extremely difficult and time consuming. It probably is so hard due to the fact that we are so advanced in our inventions and development that things are becoming easier and easier to access and use. As an individual, I definitely tend to take a mental note of things that work well for me and are easy and smooth to use rather than things that bug me and are difficult.
